Description

Performs business and systems analysis, designs, implements, configures, supports, and maintains the SAP system. Plays a role in the realisation of business benefits under limited direction, across multiple functional areas or modules within the SAP system. The role involves working within project teams, ensuring customer expectations are met, and contributing to quality and financial goals.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to quality and financial goals by operating within the agreed budget and conforming to Service Level Agreements
• Plan and prioritise work outputs with a realistic sense of time and resources involved
• Ensure conformance to programming/configuration standards and documentation in line with best practices
• Investigate and propose enhancements that will result in improved performance
• Respond to customers with the appropriate level of urgency
• Work under the limited supervision of a mentor/senior in supporting project/deliverable achievement
• Take ownership in ensuring customer expectations are met
• Liaise with business stakeholders
• Demonstrate understanding of how SAP software, services, products, and solutions add value to the business
• Highlight potential project or solution risks and issues to the project management
• Actively support other team members on projects and SAP internal tasks
• Participate in knowledge sharing
• Prioritise and/or integrate multiple projects/tasks concurrently
• Provide input to highlight interdependencies between projects and support
• Deliver project activities leading to implementation by applying project management principles
• Deliver as per the approved SDLC
• Provide direction, configure, and maintain the SAP system through alignment with standard processes and procedures
• Assist other resources in the technical preparation of SAP Process Procedures, test scenarios, end-user documentation, and user manuals
• Identify and mitigate risk
• Apply problem-solving skills to resolve identified problems
• Keep up to date on SAP and Nedbank strategy
• Analyse and judge the pros, cons, opportunities, and risks of problems; use information from different sources to aid in problem-solving
• Effectively resolve complex problems using creative approaches outside the area of expertise
• Maintain and share team knowledge
• Continually develop core skills, cross-functional expertise, and business knowledge
• Participate in Nedbank culture-building initiatives and corporate social responsibility initiatives
• Identify and recommend opportunities to enhance processes, systems, and policies; support implementation of new processes, policies, and systems

Qualifications

• Education:
• Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate
• Advanced Diploma / National 1st Degree - Preferred Qualification: BCom/IS/IT ENG/BSc/Computer Science related degree
• Certifications: Relevant SAP module certification (Preferred)
• Experience: 3 - 5 years of SAP Functional experience
